Not your average love story.

A few of my favorite shots from Rog Walkers spread A Love Story from this past winter which was shot on the Pace college campus. This was such a fun day running around with Kadeem and Rog. Two very talented and beautiful souls I'm blessed to call my friends. Be sure to check out the rest of the spread and both their work!

ps- Not only am I absolutely obsessed with this song, but I feel like it really fits the concept and message this spread was about.
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead"
Enjoy. x

When heat meets the streets.

During the last week of July NYC was hit with a huge heat wave, leaving all of New Yorks fiercest fashionistas melting in the streets. As I quickly walked down Bedford Ave in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn with sunglasses covering half my face and that New York "get out of my way, I'm in a rush" attitude I was suprised when a man with a camera tried to stop me from my determined treck to the L subway. Even more of a suprised when I looked up from my large ice coffee and saw it was Mr. Newton! Mr. Newton has been one of my favorite street style fashion photographers for awhile now so this was quite a honor and surprise. He pulled me aside and found the location he wanted, took a few shots, showed me them and we chatted away. Such a lovely and talented man. I mean, anyone who can take a photo of me in 100 degree weather, hair up, and wearing errand clothes and make it look alright.. I'm impressed with to say the least. Check out more of his work at www.mrnewton.net xo

Ghost town.

I recently got some film developed and came across these two photos from running errands around upstate NY last month. Whenever I leave the city to visit home I never pack an extra outfit this way I have more of an excuse to buy a lot when I go thrifting
(and more free hands to hold my ice coffee.)

Beacons Closet. 88 N. 11 St Williamsburg, Brooklyn. NY 11211

A cup of coffee and some clarity.

wearing: high top converse shoes, american apparel sheer chiffon dress, rebecca minkoff purse.

It's about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and I'm sitting on the corner of North 11th and Bedford Ave. Legs crossed as I sip my ice coffee from El Biet and sit facing directly in the sun. My mind races even though my body sits perfectly still. This summer has flown by and has been absolutely beautiful, yet insane. I moved into a new apartment, got an amazing internship, spent many nights drinking and laughing with some of the best people in New York City.

So thankful for everything and everything to come.

What I'm wearing: Sheer Cheap Monday top,  Opening Ceremony pleated shorts (WITH POCKETS -swoon-) and necklace by Fallon.

If you know me, I normally opt for a bold red lip but I love pairing summer skin, grays, or whites with a pale baby pink lip. My weapon of choice? Pout gloss by Smashbox (over a base foundation for a matted look)
