With the change of season I wanted to do a post that shows the transition from winter into spring in my wardrobe..
What I'm Wearing:
Vintage t-shirt from Beacons Closet
Shorts from Salvation Army (DIY jeans to cut offs!)
Army coat gifted from Top Rank Vintage
Thigh high stockings from a drug store
Fur throw from eBay
Boots by Fossil
Hat, ring, and earrings from various thrift stores and flea markets
I think while in the transition from cold to warm weather, opting for some thigh highs to pair with shorts is a better option than pants or full tights and shorts. Also, while switching to a light jacket like the one TRV gifted me, you can add some warmth and style with a vintage fur throw.. and if it gets too hot, you can pop it off and throw it in your bag!

Wow, amazing outfit. My favourite piece from Top Rank is http://www.toprankvintage.com/Field_shirt_army_green_field_shirt in size large and I would style it with lots of layers such as a vintage Levi denim jacket over the top and under the shirt a band tee. As for the bottom half I would style it with high-waisted shorts, cameo socks and black underground creepers. Jewelry-wise it would be chunky and silver.

I love killer drug store finds!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great finds on TRK, but I think I'd like the blue-gray women's blazer, in medium (I like my blazers on the larger side). I would pair it with a fun, floral dress, without being too matchy - this dress of mine would be great: http://twitter.com/#!/stellarmichele/status/189374043382751232/photo/1/large. I'd wear the ring that I have on in the picture. A necklace from http://www.diannahansson.com. For shoes, I'd wear a pair of taupe Litas. If it were inclement weather, I'd toss on a pair of Hunter wellies.

I fell in love with the Striped Long Sleeve Shirt by Top Rank Vintage in a size medium. http://www.toprankvintage.com/womens/womens_shirts/russian_stripped_shirt. I would pair this shirt with a denim jacket and denim capri pants with a cute pair of navy blue or caramel colored wedges. As for jewels, a mix of both gold and silver bangles and a necklace or two. Loving the way you are styling the jacket with the rest of your extensive wardrobe. :) xoxo Amy.

Please give me your closet! I'm begging you!
ReplyDeleteEven though there were many things I loved, I would have to go with the Sahara Desert Jacket in Medium/large.
I just feel like it is an extremely versatile piece. For example, I could "grunge" down a lace coral dress, body con skirt with coloured top...the options are endless really. Plus I could layer it on top of some band shirts like you did, just to add a little "oomph" to an outfit. It seems like a lighter jacket which will be nice to wear on summer nights, and all throughout the four seasons!

My favorite item from them is the blue gabardine cropped jacket in small/medium. Depending on my mood, I would wear it with either high waisted shorts and thigh highs and dark brown combat boots, my leather pants, or aa's riding pant.
