"I’m not too afraid of things that are too personal, I’m more afraid of playing it safe and never making mistakes and never having success on my own terms.” -Elliott Smith
So, this month has been insane. Quit my job, currently in the middle of my two weeks off to finish my own projects and collabs (and trust me, there's A LOT) and now the holiday travels, birthdays (including mine!), anniversaries (including mine!), new years, then starting my new job... seriously? Can we talk about overwhelming? Not to mention, I am just a 23 year old living in NYC alone, taking care of myself. How? What? Well, ..Okay. Since I've been a little MIA from style posts for the past week or so, I figured to just let you guys know what's up! And share a little musica with ya'll. Since ya know, I've been home for the past week. everyday, spinning records and drinking too much coffee. Enjoy some Elliott Smith.. and the holidays! duh! xo

Typically, I'm not one to separate my day and night time outfits. Any time of the day, I like to look and dress casual, comfortable, and mix in a drop of sexy to even out my oversized menswear or rag like choices.. (I'm talking flannels, big jean jackets, and paper thin vintage tees) By adding something sheer, lace, or a pop of red lip can help do just this!
What I'm Wearing: Vintage crochet dress | Reconstructed American flag jean jacket from my new vintage shop AGV (launching Jan 1st) | FYRE lace up boots | Hanes Hosiery tights

I'm so excited to announce my holiday giveaway collab with Borbala Design and Bevel Trunk Show! If you're not familiar with Borbala Designs, let me tell you a bit about it! Designer, Angela Borbala Redai, gained most of her inspiration for her designs from her travels and inerests in global cultures. You can truly see that reflected in her work, which I love. BORBALA features handcrafted custom jewelry, with vintage chains lending intriguing, natural stones a metropolitan edge. 100% my style. I'm pretty much obsessed.

I am more than guilty when It comes to sharing clothes with my boyfriend. But can you blame me? What a wonderful world where your wardrobe doubles in vintage t shirts, flannels, beanies, and jackets (leather and jean, of course!)
Confession: These pieces weren't actually stolen from my boyfriend, but inspired by the concept of doing so for all my single ladies out there (sorry If I just got beyonce stuck in your head. Actually, I'm not sorry.. Beyonce is the queen.) Anyway.. I wanted to show my take on "the boyfriend style" while keeping it a bit more girly and a little less grungy.
When dressing in more masculine style clothing, adding some lady like touches is a must! If you follow me on instagram, then you already know I've been on a baby pink kick recently. Not pink clothes really, but pink lips! By adding light lips and a light beanie it can instantly give an outfit a girly touch and makes the overall appearance much softer and playful.
As much as I am a boot gal, I can't get enough of these heels! Heels with boyfriend jeans is the perfect combo if you don't like feeling too dressed up but are dying to wear those heels that have been sitting in the back of your closet for months (or years!) now. Keep the outfit simple: casual yet sexy. You want your confidence to stand out, not an obnoxious outfit!
Head To Toe: 90s Gap Sweater | BDG boyfriend jeans | Zara Heels | AGV beanie | Cynthia Rowley purse | Smashbox "Pout" lips

It's not very often you see me in boots that aren't black, but once I got my hands on (and feet in) these ox blood babies.. there was no tuning back. Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice did a killer job on making the perfect boot. Comfortable and wearable with every outfit.
Since the main focus of this post x was to highlight my love for these boots, I wanted to keep my outfit as simple as possible. Pairing them with thigh high tights, a wool Alexander Wang dress, and a thrifted flannel.
I think being someone who is so close to their sister, seeing two other sisters my age being so close and working on an amazing project together gains my respect and support more than anything. I love and miss my sister dearly (she lives in San Fran), so the fact of knowing whenever I wear these boots that two sisters made them together can really start my day off in the right mood.
Love these boots? Silly question.. of course you do. Get them here!

Typically, the Holidays is not a time for black leather moto jackets, pants, bags.. and well, black leather everything. But to me, the holidays should be about the things you love. I for one, love me some leather!
I've never been much of the girl who swoons over diamonds, but I've recently taking a
liking loving to black diamonds. They're classy with just enough edge to them to keep with my style. Stackables have also become a favorite of mine! Check out my slide show on my (very edgy) Holiday must haves!

Gold, gold, gold! Since I love this color so much, I figured I'd showcase an outfit that expresses that love. Since it's winter, I finally get to show the ukraine in me and pull out my vintage fur hats! For this outfit, I started with the hat and worked everything else together from there...
What I'm Wearing: Vintage camo sweatshirt (get the look here) | Vintage gold pleated skirt (Get the look here) | Vintage coat (get the look here) | Vintage hat (get the look here) | Vintage Chanel bag (get the look here) | Crystal necklace and snake ring from Vanessa Mooney
I love mixing really casual/cozy pieces with obnoxiously glamourous ones. I pretty much live by that and work my wardrobe around it daily. I think way back, circa 2003 or 2004, I was greatly influenced by Mary-Kate Olsen's style. My mom owned a hair salon and would get a massive amount of those shitty celebrity gossip magazines. I'd flip though every page to get some style inspiration. (I know, this sounds really weird.. but there was something about seeing real people out of a fashion editorial or off set that kept me flipping those pages). I'd also like to blame MK for my slight hunch and addiction to running around with coffee in my hand, looking half homeless and half movie star. Besides the influence of my mother and fathers style, this (as odd as it is) truly is what I think helped influence and develop my style. Hey, Star Magazine, who knew.. you're not so shitty after all.
Hope everyone gets through this friday quickly and has a wonderful weekend! xo
