SPICING THINGS UP WITH SCHWARZKOPF!

This post has been sponsored by Schwarzkopf®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

On one of my recent weekly trips to my local Walgreens, I found myself getting lost in the hair aisle. While I do love visiting my go-to hair salon, there’s something so empowering about being able to pick up your own box/bottle of Schwarzkopf® brand products on your own and DIY at home. I mean, who wouldn’t want to achieve salon-inspired hair on your own while saving yourself TONS of money?!

I’ve been seeing Schwarzkopf® brand Metallic Silver and Urban Mauve color everywhere this year and have been obsessed, but something about their Metallics Blue Mercury was calling to me as I admired all the colors in front of me. Blue Mercury it was! Conveniently, I found Schwarzkopf® brand göt2b® glued® spiking glue in the same aisle (Thank you, Walgreens!). I have been wanting to achieve the perfect slick back hair look but could never find a product that could achieve just that. I had a feeling that Schwarzkopf® brand göt2b® glued® spiking glue would be the one!

After picking up a few more things from Walgreens, I headed home. First I tried the Schwarzkopf® brand Metallics Blue Mercury hair color! I’ve had a few little natural bleach blonde hair extensions I’ve been wanting to dye for a while now, so I figured now would be the perfect time! With summer finally here and festival season in full bloom, it couldn’t hurt to have some awesome blue metallic natural hair extensions on hand to braid, twist, and get creative with!

I’ve honestly never dyed my hair (or natural hair extensions) on my own before, so I was a little nervous thinking, “oh Nicole, what are you getting yourself into!?” But honestly, it was SO easy. First, I had to add the color into the developer lotion, then SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE. Next, I covered my natural hair extensions (while wearing gloves!) with the freshly mixed color and developer. Then, I laid them out to develop for 30 mins. Once my timer went off, it was time to rinse, condition, and then blow dry! When that was finished, I could not believe what a beautiful metallic blue my natural hair extensions were now!

I couldn’t wait to braid one of my freshly metallic blue natural hair extensions and clip it into my hair, but first I wanted to try out the göt2b® glued® spiking glue! I lightly wet my hair since it’s best to use on damp hair and added drop by drop onto my hands while I slicked back my hair and continued to distribute through to my ends—creating a cool, sleek look. Normally, my annoying in-the-middle-of-growing-out bangs would be all over the place but nope, this hair wasn’t going anywhere! The hold was SO strong and lasted until my next shampooing! Finally, I found a product that can give me that slicked back look I’ve been wanting for so long, and I don’t have to worry about my hair falling back to normal or out of place anymore!

Since my hair looked so awesome after trying out my two new looks, I had to document it and share it with you guys!
