LIVING ROOM DECOR.

4th time is a charm, right? So this month I will be moving into my 4th apartment in the last 5 years. My first apartment was in a beautiful brown stone in Park Slope, Brooklyn.. right across from Prospect Park. My second apartment was in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, right off Bedford ave. Both those apartments I shared with room mates, but had such a great space and location that I was so lucky to experience. My third apartment was my first that I lived alone in. A two bedroom in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where I obviously made the second bedroom into a walk in closet rather than opting for a room mate. Living alone was awesome. I had the freedom of my boyfriend, Cabot, to be able to stay with me for long periods of time with out having to worry about bothering a room mate. We spent most of our nights tip toeing tipsy up the four floor walk up and most of our mornings dancing around to records diselved in our underwear and messy hair ordering in breakfast sandwiches.
Now with my 4th move, I will once again have a room mate.. but that will be my boyfriend! I’m so excited to have our own little cozy place to share. With hard wood floors, bay windows, exposed brick and ton’s of sunlight, I’m going to feel so inspired in our new little home. I’ve been gathering inspiration for each room to decorate that I thought I’d share with you guys. I want to go for a very cabin/rustic look with a touch of bohemian. Lot’s of fur throws, aztec prints, dim lights, and wood pieces everywhere. For my first apartment post I am focusing on the living room inspiration. Don’t worry, I will share more each week for each room!
