I WENT AND QUIT MY JOB SO I COULD CONCENTRATE ON HAVING THOUGHTS.

So here’s the story. This past summer I drove across country from New York to San Francisco. Before I left a friend of mine lent me the book A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints by Dito Montiel. I immediately became infatuated with the book and could not put it down. I somehow had found a book that had everything that fascinates me in it; traveling, sex, religion, drugs, music, love, photography, modeling, bonds, struggles and so on. It was mind blowing that as I was for the first time driving across country and experiencing all these states I’ve never seen before, the characters in the book we’re doing the exact same thing; making their way from New York to San Francisco. The way I related to this book with the timing of reading it will forever fascinate me.

Throughout reading the book I’d write down different parts that for one reason or another moved me. After getting my four rolls of disposable cameras developed I then sorted out all the pieces I wrote down from the book and then paired them with a few photos of mine.
If you have yet to read this book I greatly urge you to. If these photos and these quotes don’t relate to you, or hit you in anyway, that’s fine. I did this for myself.  These photos, these moments, and this book did something to me I could never really put into words. And I’m okay with that.
Enjoy.
