BIG CRIMPIN’.

While my bangs have been in this in between stage where I’m not sure If I want to grow them out for summer or keep them, I’ve been playing around with new hairstyles that allow me to push them aside without noticing.

I’ve seen crimped hair go down the runway season after season, and I have countless amounts of photos from the late 60’s and 70’s saved on my computer for hair-spiration, so I finally got the nerve to create a crimped look of my own. I put on some of my favorite 60’s french songs, got out my Bed Head Styling ‘Waveaholic’ tool, pulled out a bunch of bright makeup, and got to creating!

I used my Bed Head Styling ‘Waveaholic’ tool to create these perfect lose crimps. I kept the heat at medium and only held it down for about 2 seconds each time. I kept the top of my hair sleek and straight, and added extra bobby-pins for a more editorial look (Bonus: they kept my bangs out of sight!) I really love this tool because it helps reduce frizz and adds shine, so I don’t need to add any product afterwords! I couldn’t believe this hairstyle took me maybe 10 minutes tops!

With the change of season, I wanted to try something new, bright, and bold with not only my hair, but my makeup as well. I used L’oreal infallible paints eyeshadow in ‘Aqua Aura’, Sleek  makeup semi-matte lipstick in ‘Flaunt It’Becca blush in ‘Snapdragon’, L’oreal Voluminous Superstar Xfiber mascara, and Maybelline Lasting Drama eyeliner in ‘Cashmere White’ to give me extra big doe eyes.

I really wanted to create a look that felt like a school portrait.. the year: 1968. The location: Paris, France.
