BOYFRIEND BOMBER JACKETS.

The winter here in New York is nothing short of freezing. As much as I love my vintage fur coats, I often wish New York was like San Fran- and every day was leather jacket weather.. *sigh* BUT I recently found a good option for making a leather jacket work as a winter coat. Rather than the tiny cropped moto style jacket myself and most girls rock daily, opting for an oversized boyfriend bomber (that is usually much thicker) can keep you warm and stylin all winter long. Since it’s oversized, you can fit tons of light layers under it. Add girly touches to keep the jacket from looking too overwhelming. I also love pairing this jacket with heeled booties and a slinky black Alexander Wang maxi dress..

I love how adding patches or pins to an item of clothing can give it so much character. I bought this jacket vintage, so everything was already on it. One reason why I love buying vintage is because those details give an item so much more history and originality which could never be mass produced. Although, I’ve been ordering tons of patches and mixing them with the vintage pins I’ve been collecting since I was 15- always adding them to jean jackets, bags, and hats to make them that much more me.
