With Valentines day right around the corner, I’m really feeling the pops of red in my wardrobe. For me, this is a perfect casual date night outfit. It starts off with literally my go-to basics: black high rise leather-looking pants and a loose fit black crop tank. Then you just throw on this light weight trench, strapy heels, and pile on some gold jewels and you’re set.

Wearing: Motel Rocks crop toppants, and jacket (on sale!) Zaraheels | Vintage belt Juliet & Company necklace | Boy Meets Girl x Roman Luxe ring | Ettika bangles Melinda Maria cuff | Shop Prima Donna clutch

Have you ever put on your shirt inside out and worn it by accident all day? That’s kinda how I felt after I saw these pictures and realized I was hiding the front of my clutch! Everyone knows I love a pop of print (especially when it comes to snake skin!) so while I am bummed I didn’t catch it until I snapped these details, I am rather glad this clutch actually can be pulled off two ways now. Ha!

What I love about my favorite basics is that you can completely change the look for a different going out/date night vibe with literally just a few accessories, shoes, and a coat. I say this because I wore these exact pants and crop top a few weekends ago to celebrate my birthday! I paired them with a cropped fur jacket, sky high black boots, and loads of silver jewels for a more all nighter look. And let me tell you, It still looked awesome the morning after, waking up hungover in Brooklyn. If you can’t beat the basics, might as well buy them!
