Now & Then: Volume 1.

Late night beach fun.
Sipping ice coffee with my toes in the sand and sea salt in my hair..
Not much more makes me a happier girl.
What I’m Wearing:
Vintage Guns ‘N’ Roses t-shirt I got at Salvation Army years ago and cut up into a few different styles over the years (you’ll see what I’m talking about below!) | Black Levis jean shorts also from Salvation Army years ago- distressed myself | Flannel given to me from my moms old 90’s wardrobe | All jewelry gifted from my favorite jewelry designer, Vanessa Mooney

This is the first of my little series titled Now & Then”.

I think with blogging becoming so popular these days fleeting trends tend to overflow content vs. original style.  I find myself sticking to pieces I have worn and loved over the years rather then current trendy pieces you’d see in the front window of H&M. I also think it’s interesting to see the transition of how one piece is styled on the same person 5-6 years later.

When I came across this photo of me below, at age 16, wearing the same shirt I’m wearing above, now at 23, the quote “fashion fades- style is eternal” really set in. Style is such a personal thing, it’s important to not lose sight of that. You should always make sure you are wearing something because you love it, not because it’s on the cover of a magazine or a window display.
